Approval of Minutes as posted on the Chapter 56 website was called for by Bill Lee, motion was requested, motion was made and seconded and approved by voice vote.

Larry Miller reported the following: The Chapter’s checking account balance as of April 24, 2009, was $3686.29. There have been a single credit of $100.00 from TMTV.The Chapter’s checking account balance as of today, May 26,2009 is $3789.29.

Ray Klotz proposed having an SBE Chapter 56 sponsored regional engineering conference in the model of the Ennes workshops due to the OAB being moved to OKC permanently. Proposed date for the conference is October 23, 2009. The event would be paid for by entry fees, event sponsorships, and vender booth rentals. Based on success, this could be made a yearly event. A motion was called for to form an exploratory committee to research the feasibility and details of a conference, the results of which would be shared at the next SBE meeting. The motion was seconded and passed by voice vote.
