Chapter Chairman Roger Newton called the meeting to order and asked everyone to introduce themselves.

Approval of Meeting Minutes:
Approval of Minutes as posted on Chapter website was requested, motion was made and seconded and approved by voice vote.

Treasurers Report:
Larry Miller reported the following: The Chapter’s checking account balance as of February 24, 2009, was $3486.29. There have been two credits of $100.00 dollars each. Both were sustaining membership dues from EVS ( Electronic Video systems) and RF Specialties Group of Texas. And no debits. The Chapter’s checking account balance as of today, March 24, 2009 is $3686.29.

Secretary’s Report:
Nothing to report.

Frequency Coordination above 1 GHz:
Larry Miller reported that Tulsa area 2 GHz users will meet today following the regular monthly meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to review the usage procedures that were implemented at the start of the new 2GHz band plan last December.

EAS Report:
Nothing to report

Program Committee:
David reported that April meeting would be held at OAB. Program will be a full day of seminars put together by Roger Herring and David.

Certification Report:
Ray Klotz reported the following exam dates for certification:

Old Business:
Ron Stearnes and Larry Miller will look for new locations to hold meetings.

The Taste of NAB will be held June 16th at KEBG studios on the campus of ORU.

The election committee said that a slate of officers would be presented at the next meeting.

OAB Conference will be held April 16 & 17 at the Renaissance Hotel. SBE Chapter 56 will hold it's next regular meeting at a breakfast at 7:30 AM On April 16. SBE Chapter 85 from OKC has been invited to attend

New Business:
No new bussiness.

Program:
Donal W. Sweeney, BSEE with Active Power spoke on their company's flywheel based UPS made in Austin, Texas. These CSDC (Clean Source DC) solutions provide a flywheel energy storage for conventional double conversion (battery type) UPS. He'll also detailed their “Cool Air” compressed air energy storage product.
