Chapter Chairman Roger Newton called the meeting to order and asked everyone to introduce themselves.
Treasurers Report:
Larry Miller reported the following: The Chapter’s checking account balance as of August 26, 2008, was $4026.45. There have been one credit totaling $100.00 for a sustaining membership for Media Specialists and one debit of $50.00 for purchasing a QuikTrip gift card. The card was for the waitress at Spaghetti Warehouse who has served us well throughout the year. The Chapter’s checking account balance as of today, September 23, 2008, is $4076.45.
Secretary’s Report:
Ron Stearnes read a email from Vance Harrison President of OAB concerning the death of Carl Smith and information on funeral services.
Frequency Coordination above 1 GHz:
Larry Miller reported that Northesat Oklahoma 2GHz users were polled the week of Sepember 15, about their new band plan cut over status. The Tulsa market should be ready for the cut over on or after October 13. George Danner of Sprint was notified so that he could coordinate a changeover date with the OKC market.
Frequency Coordination below 1 GHz:
Richard Hardy reported that wireless mics are being sold that operate in the 950 MHz band which is the same frequency that radio STL's operate on .
EAS Report:
Roger Herring reported that there has not been any forward progress for revamping EAS as there has been no word from FEMA on their requirements.

David Shaffer reported that our next meeting would be held at Tulsa Technology Center West Campus. Lunch will be provided.
