SBE Chapter 56 Meeting Minutes, August 26, 2008, Spaghetti Warehouse, Tulsa, OK

Chapter Chairman Roger Newton called the meeting to order and asked everyone to introduce themselves.

Treasurers Report:
Larry Miller reported the following: The Chapter’s checking account balance as of July 22, 2008, was $3,500.65. There have been two credits totaling $525.80..A 2007 rebate check for $425.80 from the national SBE and $100.00 for a Sustaining Membership from Gotcher Tower Service. There have been no debits. The Chapter’s checking account balance as of today, August 26, 2008, is $4026.45.

Secretary’s Report:
As there were several guests who had not been to a SBE meeting present, Secretary Ron Stearnes asked that everyone please sign the attendance sheet.

Frequency Coordination above 1 GHz:
Larry Miller reported that there was a meeting of Tulsa area 2 GHz users on August 15, at KTUL studios. Tje changeover to the new 12 MHz band plan will probably take place in mid September. The changeover is contingent upon the Oklahoma City users getting their equipment activated.

Frequency Coordination below 1 GHz:
Richard Hardy had nothing to report.

EAS Report:
Roger Herring had nothing to report.

Certification Report:
Ray Klotz reported that he took the DBRT exam and thanked Jim Hobbs for proctoring it.

Ray also reminded everyone of the Ennes Workshop and stated that attendees were eligible for certification points.

Old Business:
David Shaffer reported that wiring of BOK center had hit a snag due to lack of cooperation from BOK representatives. David also reported that he, Larry Miller,and Ron Stearnes had met to discuss projects for community service and would report after further discussion.

New Business:
The upcoming Ennes Workshop was once again announced and every one urged to attend.

Program:
Ron Hamilton and Mark Delende from EVS introduced representatives from Broadcast Pix and JVC who presented a program on Hi Def studio cameras and Master control solutions.
