Chapter Chairman Roger Newton called the meeting to order and asked everyone to introduce themselves.

Meeting Minutes from the the April SBE meeting were posted on the home page and were brought up for approval. The Minutes were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote of the members present.

The Chapter’s checking account balance as of April 22, 2008, was $3,582.04. There has been no credits and no debits. The Chapter’s checking account balance as of today, May27, 2008, is $3,582.04.

Frequency Coordination above 1 GHz:
Larry Miller reported that that on May 13, 2008 there was a meeting of Tulsa area Broadcast Auxiliary Service 2 GHz users. Representatives from Cox Media, KJRH, KOKI, KOTV, KTUL, and Larry were in attendance. Topics discussed were as to where each user stood in his preparation for the change-over to the new band plan, condition and usage of the intra-city party line link and how to allocate channel usage.

EAS Report:
Troy Langham reported that he had attended the EAS summit and that unfortunately there seems to be nothing done towards a new national EAS plan. Roger Herring reported that work on the new state EAS plan would begin in July.
