The Chapter checking account balance as of our last meeting November 23, 2004, was $3,534.51.    There have been no credits or debits. The Chapter’s checking account balance as of today, January 25, 2005, is $3,534.51.

Frequency Coordination below 1 GHz: Richard Hardy had nothing to report.

Certification Report:  Klotz reported that one engineer had taken the test for TV.  Ray Klotz reported that the deadline for the next certification tests is February 14th for local chapters.  Next application deadline is March 1st for the April 19th test at NAB in Las Vegas.

EAS Report: Roger Herring reported that the next monthly test will be February 8 at 11:15 p.m. The new schedule for RMT and AMBER tests has been posted on the http://www.okeas.org website.

Unfinished Business: None to report:

New Business:  Invitation to General Managers for lunch.  Spaghetti Warehouse will be the location for the meeting.  Invitations are going out so please respond to the e-mail with the address of your station.  It was discussed that perhaps Carl Smith with the OAB would be the speaker for the meeting.  David Shaffer said that he would follow up on the invitation to Carl Smith.

Nominating Committee is slated for new officers next month.  They take office in March.

OAB – Roger Herring reported that he is working on the sessions for the conference.  He opened the floor for any other ideas.  It looks like it will be a one day conference.   More to come…

Tower lights – Richard Hardy spoke on the need for reporting outages to the FAA.  Through many e-mails the result was that a report should be filed regardless of the light position on the tower.  The operator reporting the outage needs to also report that the lights are of the flashing type.

Program: The program introduction was by David Shaffer.  This month’s program was unveiling of the NEW and HIGHLY IMPROVED SBE-56 web site presented by Baird Carr and Roger Herring. There was a LIVE demonstration of improvements and features as well as an opportunity to make suggestions for further improvements.

Ray Klotz thanked all in attendance and asked for motion to adjourn, which was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
