The Meeting was called to order by Chapter 56 Chairman Ray Klotz. Ray asked everyone to introduce themselves.

Minutes from the last SBE meeting were brought up for approval as posted on the
Chapter 56 Website.The Minutes
were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote of the members present.
Treasurers
Report:
Larry
Miller reported the following:
The Chapter checking account
balance as of our last meeting November 23, 2004, was $3,534.51.There have been no credits or debits. The Chapter’s checking account
balance as of today, January 25, 2005, is $3,534.51.
Secretary’s
Report:
Nothing new to report.
Frequency
Coordination above 1 GHz:
Larry Miller reported that there will be a
short meeting of 2 GHz BAS users after today’s general meeting.

Richard Hardy had nothing to report.
Certification
Report:Klotz reported that one engineer had taken the test for TV.Ray Klotz reported that the deadline for the next certification tests is
February 14th for local chapters.Next application deadline is March 1st for the April 19th test
at NAB in Las Vegas.
EAS
Report:
Roger Herring reported that the
next monthly test will be February 8 at 11:15 p.m. The new schedule for RMT and
AMBER tests has been posted on the http://www.okeas.org
website.

New
Business:Invitation to General Managers for lunch. Spaghetti
Warehouse will be the location for the meeting.Invitations are going out so please respond to the e-mail with the
address of your station.It was
discussed that perhaps Carl Smith with the OAB would be the speaker for the
meeting.David Shaffer said that he would follow up on the invitation
to Carl Smith.
Nominating
Committee is slated for new officers next month.They take office in March.
OAB
– Roger Herring reported that he is working on the sessions for the
conference. He opened the floor for
any other ideas.It looks like it
will be a one day conference.More

Tower
lights – Richard Hardy spoke on the need for reporting outages to the FAA.Through many e-mails the result was that a report should be filed
regardless of the light position on the tower.The operator reporting the outage needs to also report that the lights
are of the flashing type.
Program:
The program introduction was by David Shaffer.This month’s program
was unveiling of the NEW and HIGHLY IMPROVED SBE-56 web site presented by Baird
Carr and Roger Herring. There was a LIVE demonstration of improvements and
features as well as an opportunity to make suggestions for further improvements.
Ray Klotz thanked all in attendance and asked for
motion to adjourn, which was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
